Overview
The Expand Mesh headset offers a safer way to communicate during outdoor sports and activities. Whether rock climbing, horseback riding, hiking, fishing, hunting, or even paragliding, the Expand Mesh allows for convenient full-duplex group communication at extended ranges without shouting or using hand signals. Recreational activities become far safer with Mesh Intercom™ technology enabling fast and efficient communication.
With the Expand Mesh, you can communicate hands-free with other Sena Mesh Intercom™ users up to 400 m away, or up to 1.6 km with 6 or more users. The device supports both Group Mesh Mode and Multi-Channel Open Mesh Mode, offering 9 channels for switching between groups using different frequencies. Sena’s Mesh platform provides flexibility by allowing users to move in and out of range while keeping the group connected without interruption.
The Expand Mesh is designed with a low-profile form factor that sits comfortably over the ears while maintaining awareness of surrounding sounds. Rounded arms above the speakers ensure a secure fit, while the low-hanging neckband allows users to wear hats, climbing helmets, or glasses comfortably.
In addition to built-in intercom features, the Expand Mesh supports Bluetooth® connectivity with smartphones. Once paired, users can listen to music, GPS directions, fitness app cues, or take phone calls. Sena’s Audio Multitasking™ lets users hear smartphone audio while still communicating over the Mesh Intercom without interruption. The Expand Mesh is also compatible with the Sena Outdoor App for intercom group setup, device adjustments, and access to the Quick Start Guide on-the-go.
